Since 1989 Zapruder’s other films has created original and compelling television that has won every major award the Australian TV industry has to offer. Most recently Zapruder’s has produced THE GRUEN TRANSFER (2 series x 10 eps), ’30 SECONDS’ a 6 x 30 mins comedy drama for FOXTEL (The Comedy Channel), ENOUGH ROPE (winner of numerous awards including five AFI’s and a Walkley for Best Broadcast Journalism), and CNNNN, which introduced the hugely popular CHASER team to Australian TV audiences. Zapruder’s also created and produced ‘DAVID TENCH TONIGHT’ (Network Ten), the world’s first animated talk show using motion capture technology. Zapruder’s has also produced a number of documentaries including ‘ANGELS & DEMONS’, ‘CAN I WRITE THE ENDING?’, ‘GALLIPOLI: BROTHERS IN ARMS’ and, for cinema release, ‘GOD ON MY SIDE’. Currently on air on ABC1 is the second series of ‘ELDERS’ (6 x 30 mins featuring Alan Alda, Richard Dawkins, Muhammad Yunus, Helen Bamber, Clive James and Rosalie Kunoth-Monks). Broadcast: Monday at 8pm. Also on-air on ABC1 is ‘HUNGRY BEAST’ (10 x 30 mins). Broadcast: Wednesday at 9pm. Combining the creativity of Andrew Denton with the journalism and production experience of Anita Jacoby and the business acumen of Peter Thompson, Zapruder’s other films is committed to making television and film that people will be thinking about long after they have finished watching.
Best idea wins.
